Quietness – A Poem For Holy Week

Quietness

sound of water
wind
computer
and my typing

reflecting
upon

the many ways
I have

observed
this sacred week

and now
this time
of simple
silence

Update, 2/25/2013: I wrote this poem almost three years ago, still true.

  1. Perhaps placing ourselves in moments of silence is the best way to observe this Holy Week. Carol

  2. Thanks for sharing this. We had a lovely Passover service this morning, one for the whole family complete with puppets. 🙂 I enjoy those as much as the kids, I think. Blessings to you this Holy Week.

    1. You are welcome, Patti. Sounds like a lovely day, and with the puppets too. I taught Sunday School for 12 years in Illinois. I enjoyed reading aloud to the children and helping them feel comfortable with their own Bibles. Two former students wrote last Christmas with good memories. That meant a lot.

Blessings to you and yours this Holy Week. Thank you, as always!
