But the fruit of the Spirit is

pomegranate

love,

joy,

peace,

longsuffering,

gentleness,

goodness,

faith,

meekness,

temperance:

against such
there is no law.

I remember learning long ago
that “fruit” is singular —
all the qualities work together,
by God’s grace.

Galatians 5: 22 – 23 (KJV)

  1. And you can’t have one without all the rest… It’s like looking at a gem with many facets.

    1. You can’t have patience without love. You can’t have self-control without kindness which is gentleness…. These are words used in various versions of the Bible… but each variation, for me always seems to open a clearer view.

        1. Hi, Ellen, I have found so much wisdom by reading many versions of the Bible. It’s one of the things that opened my mind up to the deep meanings of all words. A word is often thought of as having a very limited scope until you see where it can take you. This paticular verse I use when I can’t fall asleep at night. I never get to the end of them without falling into a deep relaxed sleep.
