Oh, Jesus – a recovery poem

I was looking through some old poetry journals, and found this poem again.  It was first published in 1994, in Explorer; Ray Flory, Editor.

God uses all that happens in our beautiful fallen world, for our ultimate good. It is a great mystery I cannot understand but accept more these days.  Always always learning, and only telling my own stories.

I speak of the beauty of our souls, which can only increase as we grow older in faith in Him.

Oh, Jesus

Heart, creativity
And technical excellence
Please come to me
You see –
I am lonely
For you three
Embodied in
Thee –
User of pain
To sculpt beauty
