In honor of National Poetry Month, I thought I’d share this post again. Carol and I are friends through poetry. Blessings, Ellen
Carol Purington and I met through a print journal, HUMMINGBIRD, in the 1990s. She has published several books of her haiku and tanka, especially with Winfred Press.
Today I ‘d like to mention MORNING SONG: Poems For New Parents, the anthology she edited with Susan Todd (2011; St. Martin’s Press/Macmillan, New York). It really is a book for anyone who loves poetry, and/or who would like to begin with poetry.
The book has its own website: http://www.morningsongpoems.com. It includes many features; for example, “A Sampling of Poems.”
