October Archives: Poems from 2010 – 2014

Sabbath

autumn fields

at rest

in rain

From 2010 – could also be written in 3 lines:

Sabbath
autumn fields at rest
in rain

*

gold
leaves

drifting

to the
ground

sunbeam

on the
water

From 2011

Dear Lord,

Thank You for this day,
which You already know.

May I follow You each moment,
and trust You more,
and so rest as I work.

Thank You for your Love . . .

Ellen

From 2012

now the October days
of later sunrises
rapidly falling leaves
more color each day

I cannot hope to hold
all the blessings

yet I receive them
with an open heart

catch a few in a poem

place a pumpkin
by the back door

say THANK YOU

From 2013

rain today
how soon we reach
the end of what we know
and how deep
faith continues to grow

From 2014
