cold so very cold

cold so very cold
yet sunrise colors show me
flowers that will bloom

*

ice floating
in rose-colored water

some days
feeling old

some young

*

older now
used books settle
in their new home

turning the page
of an older book
the age in my hands

*

Now also when I am old
and greyheaded,
O God, forsake me not;
until I have shewed thy strength
unto this generation.

Psalm 71: 18 (KJV)
