Books Old and New

Where can you reduce clutter in your life?

Daily Prompt

We give books away, and buy new and used books.

POEM

a small card
in a devotional book
from a thrift store

words of encouragement
from one person to another

I keep the card with the book
and its history today
and tomorrow

Time

Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?

Daily Prompt

Time is a gift from God. To learn, to plan wisely, to enjoy the gift of each moment and day . . .

And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us:
and establish thou the work of our hands upon us;
yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

Psalm 90: 17

Daily Prompt January 4, 2022

Do you play in your daily life? What says “playtime” to you?

Daily Prompt

This is the day which the LORD hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalm 118: 24 (KJV)

The Psalms and poetry in general bring joy and happiness to my life. I have grown a small home library over time.

Goals Can Be Revised and Renewed

Is your life today what you pictured a year ago?

Daily Prompt

I think a lot about what these last years have asked of everyone, in many ways. My 2022 calendar reflects goals met, new ideas, and revised goals. I have postponed a new book a few times (health and schedules), yet Quiet Christmas Poetry (2014) continues to be shared with others. So I am content with my work this year.

You can read all of the poems for free at Quiet Christmas Poetry.

So the year begins to end with gratitude and hope. Grateful for blogs and this way to create. One day at a time, God’s grace.
