quiet poems

Poems From Oostburg, Wisconsin

pink clouds
over Lake Michigan
as I listen to old hymns
my heart gathers peace
for this day

how small the song
of an unknown bird
quiet memories

paintings of trees
on old pine walls
quiet music

Creative Review Note

The Psalms Series: June 2020 Index is a Page filed under Menu. Thought it would be helpful to review, as we near the end of June 2021.

One example is the post, Psalm 107 and short poems.

O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever.

For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

Psalm 107: 1, 9

on the branch
with no leaves
sun and shadows

Short poems are by Ellen Grace Olinger.

When I think of this past Christmas, an enduring image is the holiday lights. Some people had grand displays, others simple, and all so bright and hopeful. Here and there, we put our holiday decorations away. Christmas kept awhile longer, and now Lent and then Easter. One day at a time.
