I am enjoying the new Summer 2017 Time Of Singing. Lora Homan Zill is Editor, and H. Edgar Hix served as the Contributing Editor for this issue.
Nancy Esther James and I served as Contest Judges. The Contest for this issue was Haiku, Tanka, and Senryu. There are also Editor’s Choices. I enjoyed reading the many good poems that were offered. You can read more about TOS Contests here.

I often mention Time Of Singing: A Journal Of Christian Poetry. Lora Homan Zill is the Editor.
Today I’d like to highlight Lora’s site:

To have a vision
to sustain the effort
to see it all the way
through —
Even when it seems
to leave you
This is a favorite poem that was first published in Time Of Singing, years ago.

I am reading the Spring 2017 issue of Time Of Singing: A Journal Of Christian Poetry. Lora Homan Zill is Editor. Contributing Editors for this issue are Cleo Griffith and Violet Nesdoly. Photos in the issue are by Patricia Jackson Conway.
Time Of Singing is a print journal. I have shared TOS with others over the years, and continue to receive notes of appreciation.
My mother wrote page numbers on the covers, to note publications of my poems. I have these issues now, and they are special remembrances of my mother’s encouragement.
Poetry is a gift that is appreciated and grows in meaning over time.
You can read more at the TOS site. Audrey Stallsmith is Webmaster.
Each issue is a work of art. Thought it would be good to write a post for National Poetry Month.
EASTER DINNER
The background is red
Her hair has become silver
And her dress is rust.
Her smile these days is pure gold
And her eyes sparkle anew.

This is a favorite poem, written for my mother a long time ago. It was published first in Time Of Singing.
