I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.

sometimes by sight
in my life of faith

Time of Singing, Spring 2014
But it is good for me to draw near to God:
I have put my trust in the Lord GOD,
that I may declare all thy works.

Poem from May 2011
This prompt brings back memories of helping with my mother’s care. These were good years, and also were a lot of work. And she worked hard all her life. Good memories. Many people helped with her care. Her last illness was at the nursing home where she served as a volunteer for years.
I learned the small roads back North and home to our small town. Perhaps I can write a new poem.
small roads home
and the contrast between
city and small towns
flowers bloom later here
how wonderful to see them
at my mother’s home
and our home
Keep me as the apple of the eye,
hide me under the shadow of thy wings
Psalm 17: 8
I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
Psalm 18: 1
Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight,
O LORD, my strength,
and my redeemer.
Psalm 19: 14
