February Patience

As I pray a Psalm, on this sunny morning, I think “February patience.” I’ll try a poem.

praying a Psalm
in my small study
trees and sky
the verses bring
beauty and hope
to Winter days
and all days

Spring will return: large print

Spring will return
here and there
and then I’ll say,
“When did this happen?”

Today, though,
I rest in longer light
on evergreens
in a tiny bit of wind
