The earth, O LORD,
is full of thy mercy:
teach me thy statutes.

Today is my father’s birthday.  He lived on earth from 1915 – 1983.  Dad would love blogs!

“Wait on the Lord”

Wait on the Lord:
be of good courage,
and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the Lord.

Psalm 90: 17

And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us:
and establish thou the work of our hands upon us;
yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

Psalm 90: 17 (KJV)

I thought of this verse today, as I reflect upon 2017, and look forward to 2018, by God’s grace.

Daily Prompt: Promises

As I pray the Psalms, my trust in God’s promises grows deeper.  He knows the “big picture.”  He loves us.

I am grateful for prayer.  I’ve added a few more pieces of tape to my old Bible these last months, as two dear family members were called Home.

Now simply holding this Bible, or seeing it in my study, also is a comfort.

Yesterday, the colors outside my window were gold, grey, and green.  So beautiful.
