old photos
on my desk –
bleeding hearts in bloom
(Time Of Singing)
leaves of bleeding hearts
now gold
so do broken hearts mend
so does grief heal
Autumn grace

Poems by Ellen Grace Olinger
I created this collection for our site, Easter And Spring Poetry. I am staying in touch there through the seasons now. This is a reprint of the post yesterday.
“These poems are from posts at POEMS FROM OOSTBURG, WISCONSIN this year.”
peaceful time
with my blogs
remembrance
Midwest seasons
decades of life
each familiar
and yet always
new
reflections of lights
in the windows
with Norway Spruce
tree branches
and pine cones
new place
for the Christmas cactus
sunroom window
tall weathered tree
clouds and blue sky
fill the spaces
where branches
no longer grow
December sunrise
evergreens in wind
and light
December garden
evergreen light
wind and blue sky
photos of sunflowers
the field on the way home
from my mother’s home
years and years ago
gave me strength
I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
Psalm 18: 1
My poem is from a new sequence at Poems From Oostburg, Wisconsin:
August days go by.
Another idea is a haiku or two – perhaps writing prompts for a poetry lesson. With a general beginning, writers can add their own images and reflections. I was viewing photos at the WordPress.com free photo library.

photos of flowers
gardens and fields
on my way home
cold continues
yet warmth
on the way
in the distance
some sky
the color of
robins’ eggs

That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving,
